The Abyss of Realization
I looked into the carved depth,
I have seen my infinite self lost.
In the dark, the past found me,
It looks at me and bewitches me.
It blinds and closes me away.
I threw everything away for knowledge,
I was left alone under the sky.
I have prayed out of fear,
I threw the world away forever.
I locked away everything in the abyss,
I faced everything myself.
I have waited for someone to save me,
But the saviour did not come.
I redeemed myself.
I am still here
Where no one can find me,
Because the abyss stares into me,
And I look back at it,
I have accepted that I can’t see anything else.
I am completely submerged
Where no one can see me,
Because there are no eyes
That could notice me anymore,
And save me from myself.
I perceive everything that surrounds me empty,
The habit buries me and leaves me in the dark.
I dream that there will be a tomorrow,
But apart from myself only the past remains.
Away from me, in the eternal abyss,
I was left alone in the dark.
Back in 2010 mastermind Gergely Almásy formed Autumn Nostalgie as a solo-project from the ashes of the Dark Ambient project
"Fekete Erdő". For ten years almost nothing has been released until 2020 the debut album „Esse Est Percipi” came out, receiving much praise from fans and critics alike....more

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
